A Note from the parents about the artist.
Our son, CJ, is special. Yes, he is special as every child is to their parents. But special in that he was born with certain challenges but also was blessed with special gifts.
CJ is one of the increasing numbers of individuals on the Spectrum. Each one of these individuals (as our son CJ) faces challenges from mild to extreme and is truly unique.
CJ’s challenges are in speech and social interactions. CJ has the biggest heart but has challenges making “true” friends because he is “different.” He is “different”, but he is not “less than!”.
His special gifts are a particular intelligence and an intrinsic view of life and art. He sees and does art in what we call “The CJ Way!” Whether it is in his Lego, drawing, painting, or construction, for his art as he says, “I see it in my brain!”
CJ began taking classes for Glass Fusion and Glass Blowing at about 10 years old. He really likes it! But he’ll never give up Lego!
Some of the items he has “seen” are for sale. Each art piece is “one of a kind!” The money he makes will be used for more art projects and continuing education.
